This seven day tour visits three distinct landscapes and highlights a sample of every aspect of Cuban culture, history and everyday life. Learn how the country’s most coveted exports are produced, enjoy authentic dished at traditional dining venues, explore unique markets and places of interest, and most importantly create new and lasting memories that will be cherished long after your journey ends.

Day One: Arrive in Havana
Begin your exploration of Cuba as you are welcomed at Jose Marti International Airport by ground transportation and taken to check-in to one of our preferred hotels. Enjoy a welcome cocktail reception and program orientation then conclude the evening with your first taste of authentic Cuban cuisine while listening to local musicians.

Day Two: Old Havana
Spend the morning with a tour highlighting the village and residence of the great American author Ernest Hemmingway. Visit a scale model of the area before an escorted walking tour through the streets of Old Havana, appreciating the grand colonial architecture that led to its UNESCO designation. Tour a local rum factory to learn about the historical production process and sample the final product. After an oceanfront dining experience, conclude the evening at a local paladar with an open air terrace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and show at the jazz club.

Day Three: Havana Countryside to Downtown
Escape the busy streets of Havana and depart for the countryside for a farm-to-table excursion and handpick the produce for your lunch at the world renowned Havana Mediterraneo, a paladar that locally sources all of their ingredients to create the freshest dishes. After a visit to the Callejon Hamel Art Project, the afternoon will continue with a panoramic bus tour of downtown Havana.

Day Four: Havana Market & Seaport
Take a stroll through the downtown market and explore the arts and crafts of the community, perfect gifts to take home. While downtown, tour a cigar factory to learn and watch the historical process of manufacturing the best cigars in the world. After lunch, visit the Hotel Nacional and be absorbed in its grand architecture while enjoying a cafecito break before departing for the marina district. Discover the history behind the 14th century El Morro Castle, designed by an Italian engineer to guard the bay of Havana as well as act as a navigational landmark throughout the past five centuries. For your last night in Havana, enjoy a dining experience developed from culinary influences from around the world.

Day Five: Havana to Santa Clara to Cayo Santa Maria
Leave the island’s urban mecca to explore Havana’s eccentric, up-and-coming neighbor located in the central region of Cuba. With a prestigious national university, Santa Clara is a youthful city bursting with personality and creativity. Spend the morning at a community art project, NaturArte de Santa Clara. Continue with tours of additional cultural sights of Santa Clara before continuing your journey to the town of Remedios to explore the colonial architecture. End the day at the picturesque coastal area of Cayo Santa Maria and check into your beachside accommodation, tucked away in a pristine tropical environment.

Day Six: Cayo Santa Maria
Spend the morning touring local heritage sights near Santa Maria, including a museum built from a former sugar mill to learn about the agricultural and economic history of one of the country’s biggest exports. At the resort-style hotel, enjoy the opportunity to explore the grounds and surrounding coastal area before a farewell dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day Seven: Final Day in Santa Clara
Depart from Santa Maria with an airport transfer to Santa Clara International Airport for your return back to Miami.
